Ambroxol hydrochloride (AMB), (1s,4s)-4-((2-amino-3,5-dibromocyclohexyl)methylamino) cyclohexanol hydrochloride, is semi - synthetic derivative of vasicine obtained from Indian shrub Adhatoda vasica. It is a metabolic product of bromhexin and it is used as broncho secretolytic and an expectorant drug. Analysis of Flavamed® tablets, in which ambroxol hydrochloride (AMB) is an active component, was performed. UV/VIS spectrophotometry and atomic absorption spectroscopy (AAS) were used. Direct and indirect UV/VIS spectrophotometric methods were used for quantitative analysis of AMB and the following recovery value results were obtained: 100,16% and 95,23%, successively. Content of heavy metals in Flavamed® tablets was determined by atomic absorption spetroscopy.

1. THEORETICAL BACKGROUND OF THE RESEARCHThe problem of financing entrepreneurial activity is probably as old as this activity itself. Many businesses fail due to problems in financing. Mostly, early stage businesses are in need of start-up capital.Literature on financing entrepreneurial activity recognises two main sources of financing entrepreneurial activity: personal resources and financing from external resources. There are numerous factors which influence the use of these sources of financing (e.g. stage of development, age, entrepreneur's gender, development of financial markets etc). Sherman (2005) found that in the initial phase of business development entrepreneurs mostly use personal funds, or rely on government funds.Early stage funding of entrepreneurial activity in the Western Balkan countries is influenced by a number of market failures which are considered to be major obstacles for further entrepreneurship development in this region. Even though the Balkan region has an emerging start-up scene the governments are not sufficiently supporting their development. Government support for entrepreneurs in early stages of entrepreneurial activity is of great importance because most of these businesses are not eligible to apply for commercial bank loans due to formal, and strict procedures, as well as a high risk which is related to the early stages of business operations. In most cases banks are unwilling to consider giving loans to start-ups, which are mostly in need of new capital in order to finance their further growth or even in need of initial capital in order to start a business. According to Aktekin & Sohl (2011), searching for capital for entrepreneurs is a time consuming process that can have serious effects on survival of the business and its growth. Cassar (2004) claims that early stage external funding is important and critical in the early stage of the venture's existence.Lerner (2009) stated that governments have a positive role in "kick-starting entrepreneurship" and their funding is important, especially in times of crisis, because entrepreneurship is a business with increased returns. Even though the general entrepreneurial climate is important, it is equally important that governments "intervene directly in the entrepreneurial process" through fund allocation. Vanacker and Deloof (2013) believe it was the financial crisis which began around 2008 that turned the focus of researchers towards financing and success of business start-ups. Availability of financing for SMEs has also been determined as important for their growth and development (Ou, Haynes, 2006; Cook, 2001). Specific financing strategies are required especially during the start-up phase due to the lack of trading history or higher risks (Berger & Udell, 1998; Cessar, 2004; Huyghebert & Van de Gucht, 2007). However, some authors agree that financing of start-ups cannot be standardized and that the lifecycle/financing approach is not applicable to all SMEs in all industries and of all sizes (Abdulsaleh & Worthington, 2013; Gregory et al., 2005; Berger & Udell, 1998). These findings, however, are opposite to the presumptions of Myer's (1984) pecking-order theory suggesting that internal sources of financing are prioritised during early stages of firm's existence wherein external sources are being considered afterwards. On the other hand, other empirical studies like Abdulsaleh & Worthington (2013), Gregory et al. (2005) led to conclusions that older businesses rely more on internal financing due to the fact that they can accumulate earnings and that internal funds are mostly available for their business operations. A recent OECD study (2015) claims that broadening financing options which are available and accessible to SMEs is a key challenge for policy makers in the quest for fostering their development.Different and often contradictory results of various empirical studies indicate that more scientific attention should be directed towards researching this area. …

Introduction: We can define extracranial carotid artery aneurysm (ECAA) as bulb dilatation greater than 200% of the diameter of the internal carotid artery (ICA) or in a case of common carotid artery (CCA) greater than 150% of the diameter. Surgical intervention is required for the treatment of this disease.Case report: This study presents an open vascular surgical procedure to resolve ECAA. We report a case of 61 years old woman with an extracranial internal carotid artery berry aneurysm, presented with a headache and dizziness when turning the head aside. Classic open surgery was performed and the lumen of berry aneurysm was separated with three clips from the lumen of ICA.Conclusions: The open surgical approach is the method of choice for the treatment of extracranial internal carotid artery pathological conditions.

This study was conducted with aim to determine the relations between motor skills and technical and tactical characteristics of table tennis players. The study was conducted on a sample of 48 of the best seniors with aged 18-36 years old (a representative sample) in Bosnia and Herzegovina. For this purpose was applied the system of (12) variables to estimate the basic motor skills, and (8) variables for evaluation of technical and tactical characteristics of table tennis players. In order to determine the relations between the basic motor skills and technical and tactical characteristics of table tennis players, the method applied was the method of canonical correlation analysis. Establishing the link between these two areas resulted in the separation of one canonical factor which was statistically significant. The most significant information for extracted canonical component gives the coefficients of the structure and the cross-structure. The coefficients of the structure represent the correlations of the original variables with canonical component derived from a set of variables to which this variable originally belongs, while coefficients of cross- structure provide correlations of adequate source variables with canonical component that was created in other set of variables. Onto the isolated canonical function the most significant influence have the variables of hand tapping, throwing a medicine 1kg ball by forehand, boom in gray, long jump from the place, while also slightly smaller significance show other variables, but from the same subspaces of basic motor abilities. Based on the coefficients of the structure can be summarized that all the technical and tactical characteristics highly correlate with the factor isolated from this area which is logical, because all manifest variables represent one area (technical skills / playing skill). The variables that are related to the attack phase (initiative in points) and elements of game movement (the safety and effectiveness of the attack over the table, safety and efficacy of the first entrance, efficiency of game movement) are significantly associated with canonical factor isolated in the area of motor abilities. These variables describe technical structures in which “imposes” and maintains the initiative in the point, and are the most aggressive attack techniques, and generally seek the largest motor engagement. No surprises then that exactly these variables of technical and tactical structures are significantly associated with the factor isolated in the area of motor abilities are the most important.

Purpose – The purpose of this paper is to establish the level of importance of the country of origin (COO) in the purchasing process of different categories of consumer goods in the research context of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BH establishing a level of consumer familiarity with a COO; identifying the influence of consumer ethnocentrism on the level of COO importance. Findings and implications – ANOVA and T-paired tests highlighted the importance of COO to vary across product categories. The results of regression analysis showed that consumer ethnocentrism significantly influences the level of COO importance in the purchasing process. The results contribute to the thesis that COO has a diagnostic value for the consumers in the purchasing process and can therefore be used as a marketing tool in providing better market acceptance and positioning of products. Limitations – This research has a limited scope considering that it is a single-market study, but also because of the small range of researched product categories. Further research studies should consider a wider range of product categories, as well as a cross-cultural research approach to explore the importance of COO on the overall purchasing process. Originality – This study represents an integrative approach to the phenomenon of COO, consisting of consumer ethnocentrism, product characteristics, and consumer perspective regarding COO importance and familiarity.
