In this study, using the methods of spatial autocorrelation in geographic information systems (GIS), an analysis of the spatial distribution of mortality rates in Bosnia and Herzegovina was performed in order to identify high-risk areas with increased mortality and depopulation. Spatial analysis is based on the calculation of global (Global Moran’s I and Getis-Ord General G) and local (Anselin Local Moran’s I and Getis-Ord Gi*) statistical indices of spatial autocorrelation. The values of global statistical indices confirmed a clustering of high mortality values, while local statistical indices confirmed high mortality rates in the municipalities of northwestern and eastern Bosnia and Herzegovina. Conducted research provides an insight into spatial patterns of demographic processes, while results obtained by this research are significant for demographic development and future spatial demographic research in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The aim of this research is to analyze the spatial distribution of the population ageing in Bosnia and Herzegovina and identify areas of the country that are particularly vulnerable to negative demographic trends. To achieve the goal of the study, data on the ageing coefficient and ageing index for the period 2013-2020 were used. The geospatial analysis of these indicators was performed using global (Global Moran's I and Getis-Ord General G) and local (Anselin Local Moran's I and Getis-Ord G*) indexes of spatial autocorrelation. The research results confirmed the clustering of both indicators. Ageing coefficient values are clustered in municipalities in western, northwestern, Eastern, and central Bosnia and Herzegovina. Ageing index values are clustered in municipalities in central, western, northwestern, and northeastern Bosnia and Herzegovina. This study provides insight into the research methods of spatial demographic trends and phenomena, and its findings can serve as a basis for future demographic research and development in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

This study deals with the unfolded quantities based on the time intervals between successive neutron events from the aspect of the power law. Neutrons from spontaneous fission in special nuclear material induce fission in most cases. In this study, it was demonstrated that the inverse value of the number of induced neutrons decreases following a power function with the increasing radius of a plutonium metal sphere. In addition, it was considered an increase in the neutron background level with increasing altitudes. The inverse value of the mean neutron counting rate depending on altitudes can be described with a power function merely for higher elevations. A linear relationship was obtained by plotting the quantities on logarithmic axes against each other indicating generally a power law relationship for both investigated phenomena. The results of this study showed a connection between two seemingly unrelated neutron phenomena through power laws based on the distributions of time intervals between successive neutron counts. The empirical evidence implies that a connection between the observed quantities in a log-log plot is unchanged except for a multiplicative constant.

Blockchain is a type of decentralized database where all data are kept in one large chain of interconnected blocks of data stored on a large number of servers around the world. Besides decentralization, an additional advantage of this technology is the absence of intermediaries in communication between participants in the process. With the advent of the Ethereum network which is based on blockchain technology, in addition to performing financial transactions, now it is possible to create programs that could be executed on this network. However, execution of these programs, known as Smart Contract, costs money that is billed on this network in the form of gas which is directly proportional to the complexity of the computer operations performed within these contracts. Optimizing the structure and content of smart contracts directly implies reducing the cost/gas for their execution. In this paper we propose the structure of smart contracts in the context of gas optimization for their execution.

In today's digital age, presence on the Internet and the Web mean presence in general life. This is generally more pronounced in the context of higher education because these institutions are the primary drivers of overall social development. The quality and highly accessible website of each university is a must as these websites are generally the first contact and first impression for new potential students and also the first step for establishing cooperation with the social economy and society. For this reason, websites need to meet some of the basic standards when it comes to accessibility of the content they provide and it is essential to ensure that content on the websites can be accessed by people with disabilities. This paper deals with the analysis of websites of universities in Bosnia and Herzegovina in the context of their accessibility, from one side, and their position on the international scene in the context of the Webometrics list of universities, on the other side. Based on the obtained results and conducted analysis, recommendations were given on how to improve some of the elements on websites in order to make these websites more accessible in accordance with the standards related to this topic.

The problem of counterfeiting diplomas in education with the advancement of digital technology is increasingly pronounced. The process of forging documents is almost always accompanied by reduced transparency in issuing the documents with no possibility to easily check the validity of the document. One of the currently very attractive and challenging technology in digitized society is the blockchain technology and all the sequential systems that have emerged based on it. One such system is the Ethereum platform, which uses blockchain technology and enables the creation of decentralized applications programmed to run on the Ethereum network. One of the Ethereum use is a Smart Contract, which allows applications to be executed online, completely autonomously without the influence of a third party, once a previously defined condition is satisfied. The objective of this research is to explore the possibility of using a Smart Contract in the process of the creation and issuance of diplomas at a higher education institution. At the end of the analysis, we provide an overview of the advantages and disadvantages of this procedure, as well as potential possibilities for its improvements. The possibilities of automation and the cost of such a process were also considered.

Background: The aim of this study is to compare the antenatal care, body weight, and weight gain in pregnancy between the adolescent and adult pregnancies and, thus, examine the impact of adolescence on the studied parameters. Methods: This prospective study includes 300 pregnant women who were the patients of University Clinical Center Tuzla, Clinic for Gynecology and Obstetrics from January 2011 to December 2014. The women were divided into two groups: an experimental group consisted of 150 adolescent pregnant women aged 13–19 years and a control group consisted of 150 adult pregnant women aged 20–35 years. The following parameters were analyzed: age of pregnant women, number of antenatal controls in pregnancy, prepregnancy body weight, weight gain in pregnancy, parity, and obstetric history data. Results: A significantly higher number of adolescent pregnant women belongs to a subgroup from one to two examinations during pregnancy (P < 0.000013) and to subgroups from three to five examinations (P < 0.000001). A significantly smaller number of adolescent pregnant women performed their first antenatal control in the first 2 lunar months (P < 0.01). A subgroup with optimal body weight (from 51 to 69 kg) are the most prevalent among adolescent pregnant women (P < 0.000001). A significantly larger number of adolescent pregnant women had an optimal weight gain of 7.8 to 12.99 kg (P < 0.001). Conclusions: The adolescent pregnant women have suboptimal antenatal care, which could lead to adverse maternal and birth outcomes, but have optimal body weight and weight gain during pregnancy.
