Transportation of bulk cargo, especially in countries rich in mineral resources, dictates the need for optimization including numerous aspects, and especially in recent times emphasizing the aspect of ecology. This paper describes a procedure that attempts to answer the question of whether optimization can be achieved by applying appropriate models and by defining of specific models and procedures for ranking and selection of optimal transport system.

This paper presents a procedure for analyzing the characteristics of alternative systems for the transportation of bulk cargoes. The included features of transportation systems are the basic part of a set of criteria for the selection of the best variety. Besides the standard systems the new system of trolley cars has been included as well, and its features essential for the ranking of variants have been highlighted. Out of a larger number of benefits and disadvantages of the system, the basic ones have been isolated that satisfy the evaluation of the effects of introducing the new system.

This paper presents a model which can be used to determine the flow rates of vehicles per roundabout sections on the basis of recorded entries and exits of vehicles per approaches. In addition, it is possible to analyze the influence of individual flows on the intersection capacity, and to determine the number of vehicles per directions in the intersection knowing the number of vehicles leaving the intersection at the next exit. Counting of vehicles is easier manually and with the application of new technologies. The model (MIKR) provides results in a longer and shorter period of time which renders both its static and dynamic characteristics.

This paper describes the procedure of determining the released carriers revenue caused by illegal operation or other courier service failures during issuing decisions for transportation. The main goal is to adopt in accordance with the profession, previous experiences of experts and case law for a unique procedure for determining the impact of such failures and actions on the business of the enterprise. This paper indicates the expertise required by the person designated to carry out the budget.

This paper presents the way of identifying demand and planning of services under the conditions of several interested carriers of different transport modes. A high-quality modification of the model is a prerequisite for any supply and demand planning which is possible only by using the results of statistical analysis on a representative set and by using of new technologies for collecting and processing of data. The decision and making of the supply and demand plan in the transportation is based on the most probable outcomes.

Efforts to improve urban public transport services, as well as traffic service in the city, impose the need for constant improvements of the research methodology in this area. In the literature and practical applications there are different approaches and uses of different models, whose efficiency is often below acceptable levels. The paper presents the research methodology of the public transport services, which aims to stress the basic indicators for adoption of plans and decisions, both at the strategic level and at lower levels in the transport sector.

Autism spectrum disorders (ASDs) are heterogenous neurodevelopmental disorders characterized by impairment in social, communication skills and stereotype behaviors. While autism may be uniquely human, there are behavioral characteristics in ASDs that can be mimicked using animal models. We used the BTBR T+tf/J mice that have been shown to exhibit autism-like behavioral phenotypes to 1). Evaluate cannabinoid-induced behavioral changes using forced swim test (FST) and spontaneous wheel running (SWR) activity and 2). Determine the behavioral and neurochemical changes after the administration of MDMA (20 mg/kg), methamphetamine (10 mg/kg) or MPTP (20 mg/kg). We found that the BTBR mice exhibited an enhanced basal spontaneous locomotor behavior in the SWR test and a reduced depressogenic profile. These responses appeared to be enhanced by the prototypic cannabinoid, Δ9-THC. MDMA and MPTP at the doses used did not modify SWR behavior in the BTBR mice whereas MPTP reduced SWR activity in the control CB57BL/6J mice. In the hippocampus, striatum and frontal cortex, the levels of DA and 5-HT and their metabolites were differentially altered in the BTBR and C57BL/6J mice. Our data provides a basis for further studies in evaluating the role of the cannabinoid and monoaminergic systems in the etiology of ASDs.

This paper gives an overview of urban public transport in Bosnia and Herzegovina with concrete example of KJKP GRAS Sarajevo (Cantonal Public Utility Company GRAS Sarajevo). It points out the most important problems and suggests solutions typical for this region. Special attention has been focused on the effects of urban public passenger transport operation on the environment. It emphasizes the introduction of the system of quality in this field in order to control the situation and to minimize adverse effects.
