In the last ten years, the development and research of advanced technologies, as well as their application in all segments of society, have led to major changes and reshaping of the new world. New innovations are occurring on a daily basis, but their application is not going fast enough due to the rigid infrastructure. However, in order to secure an optimal future, we all have to adapt to the changes that are coming. The developed countries have adopted the strict implementation of advanced technologies of Industry 4.0, some of which include: Internet of Things (IoT), Big Data, Cloud Computing, smart sensors, Radio Frequency Identification (RFID), 3D printing, advanced security systems, Virtual and Augmented Reality (VAR), etc. Robotics is the basic and first technology that has been implemented since the 60s of the last century, with artificial intelligence coming in the spotlight in the last ten years. Artificial intelligence is becoming a key to the development of advanced robots, as it enables them to adapt to unpredictable situations, to learn from experience and make intelligent decisions.Robots use AI to process sensor data, navigate, recognize objects, plan paths and interact with the environment. In short, artificial intelligence enables robots to be smart, whereas robotics uses AI to create autonomous and useful devices. This symbiosis contributes to progress in many industries, including healthcare, manufacturing and transportation. Artificial intelligence (AI) and robotics are two key fields that complement each other. The paper presents the trend of applied and approved patents in artificial intelligence and robotics, as well as an example of the use of artificial intelligence in advanced robots to perform certain tasks. Artificial intelligence (AI) is having an increasing impact on robotics, opening up many possibilities.
Currently, the world is facing major changes. Research and development of innovations in new technologies, the rapid pace of implementation of these innovations and especially digitization and automation, play a major role in shaping the future world. Technological innovations promise the transformation of the world we live in all its dimensions. However, in order for the benefits of innovation to be adequately exploited, it is necessary for us as a society to adapt to the coming changes. We must also keep in mind that these changes come at a time previously marked by uncertainty, turbulent changes and hyper competitiveness. The development and implementation of new technologies in business is motivated by a number of technical and economic reasons: improving the quality of finished products (machining, etc.), increasing productivity and reducing the share of work (assembly process), increasing the degree of homogeneity of product quality in all production processes related to the application of robotic technology, increasing the level of safety, reducing labor engagement in routine and reproducible processes, minimizing total production costs and maintenance costs of the device in the production process, all with the purpose of adequate responses to competition challenges and increasingly stringent customer requirements. Although the concept of Industry 4.0 is already widely used in developed countries, it is a relatively new concept in the Western Balkans, including Bosnia and Herzegovina. Most company managers understand the benefits of "smart" production and are familiar with new trends in the industry, intend to gradually introduce smart solutions, methods and technologies, and only a small number of companies in Bosnia and Herzegovina currently implement the concept of Industry 4.0. The paper presents the results of research on the application of Industry 4.0 technologies in all branches of the economy in Bosnia and Herzegovina and especially the representation of Industry 4.0 in small, medium and large enterprises. Detection of awareness of certain groups about the concepts of Industry 4.0 was performed, and the research method itself is based on an online survey.
An adaptive control is a control, which by pre-setting the parameters of the controller, enables the control of processes whose parameters are time-varying or are initially uncertain. The possibilities and benefits of adaptive control are versatile and can be best demonstrated by applying the system while driving a car, or maintaining the optimal speed and distance between cars, which is shown in this paper. As the car’s weight decreases while driving due to fuel consumption, the control algorithm has to be adapted to the changed driving conditions. Accordingly, an adaptive control system using the Matlab software package, and an adaptive cruise control system (ACC) was created in this paper, which is based on a predictive model. After evaluating the developed model of adaptive car motion control, the output parameters such as speed, acceleration, and distance between the two vehicles were analyzed. In this paper a PID controller is used to reduce oscillations in the system. First, the P controller was used to reduce the rise time of the significant values, then the PI controller improved the rise time, and finally the PID controller achieved overshoot reduction performance without affecting the dynamic response system. The obtained results confirm the justified expectations for the possibility of adaptive car control utilization as one of the possible solutions to the increasing traffic incidents, as well as a measure to improve the reduction of these incidents.
Collaborative robots, or cobots, are increasingly being taken out from behind the cages and being used alongside human beings to automate a variety of tasks, including quality inspection, pick-and-place. Collaborative industrial robots are harmless to the human worker, affordable, and easy to use and program. This paper studies applications of collaborative industrial robots in industry.
With digital computers development possibility for change of certain human intellect based action raised. Because of a need for human vision replacement, needs that require simplicity, speed and low price in robotized mounting systems, usage in objects recognition and their settlement on exact place robot vision systems took place. This paper explains 3D vision systems implementation industrial robotics. Here are given elements of robot vision systems, ways of assembly and implementation examples.
