The aim of this study was to study the impact of crop load on the yield and grape quality of ‘Merlot’ and ‘Vranac’ (Vitis vinifera L.) in Trebinje vineyard. The crop load levels studied in this trial were 9 buds (V1) and 12 buds (V2) per vine at each variety trained on Lenz-Moser bilateral cordon system. The impact was determined by measurements of yield per vine and grape quality characterized by the contents of total soluble solids, titratable acidity, total phenolics, total flavonoids and by total antioxidant capacity. The measured parameters of grape quality of ‘Merlot’ and ‘Vranac’ were not influenced significantly by crop load levels. V2, compared to the V1, showed the potential for increasing grape yield only for Merlot variety under experimental conditions. The results of this study also showed a positive correlation between total phenolics/flavonoids and total antioxidant capacity of grape berries in both varieties, regardless of crop loads applied.

The two-year experiment (2008 and 2009) on new introduced table grape variety Victoria was carried out in the commercial vineyard in the conditions of Nerezi vine district, Capljina Municipality. This study the influence of different bud load levels was investigate on grape quality of cv. Victoria under given environmental conditions. The experiment was conducted by random selection method in four variants with different bud load levels per grapevine (19, 24, 28 and 33 buds per grapevine), each variant being repeated four times with 6 vines repeating. Variant II(24 buds per grapevine) had, in two-year experiment, the average value of the largest cluster weight (599.78 g), the cluster berry weight (573.25 g), and the mass of the cluster stems (12.5 g). The average content of sugar in the grape must was slightly higher in variants I and II (14 %) compared to other variants, while the highest average content of total acids had variant III (4,06 g/l).

SummaryTh e aim of this paper is to determined dynamics and vertical distribution of nutrients and microbial communities in calcocambisol and terra rossa in natural lawns in Mostar district (Bosnia and Herzegovina). Th e main research was focused on total number of bacteria, actinomycetes, fungi, free-living nitrogen fi xers, ammonifi ers and Azotobacter sp., as well as on the chemical properties of soils. Microbiological and chemical properties of soils were determined during the 2011 in diff erent depths using the standard methodology. Chemical analyses of the examinated soil showed the acid pH value, poor to moderate humus content, as well as total N and available P and K. Results of research confi rm the strong infl uence of season of sampling, soils depth and their interaction on microbial activity. Number of microorganisms was controlled by pH value, humus and total nitrogen content, soil moisture and temperature. In both soil types, total bacterial number was the highest in spring, while number of fungi and actinomycetes was the highest in autumn.

Studies were carried out to the variety Sangiovese of manufacturing plants located in the site Lepovo-Tikves vineyards and all of this in property of the Bovin Winery. During the period of study (2011-2012 year) the following items were included: realized yields (kg/vine), chemical composition of grape must (sugar content, total acids, pH) and chemical analysis of wine. The results show considerable variation in yield (coefficient of variation was 18.45) which is due to the age of the crop or it is in the second (2011) and third (2012) year of birth. The must contains 224 g/L sugar and 6.75 g/l total acids average for the test period. The wine has a high content of extract (33 g/L) and alcohol from 12.90 vol% which is due to selective harvesting of grapes and the way of vinification.
