Road pavement is structure with primary function to provide distribution of load from top layers to the subgrade. In addition, condition of road pavement surface provide driving safety and comfort. This paper presents results of the ability to use method called photogrammetry technique, in order to determine the condition of road pavement surface. Research was conducted on a small test site at Faculty of Civil Engineering, University of Sarajevo. This model was used to analyze road surface and to collect data about longitudinal and transverse profile, surface distresses and texture features as well.

Roundabouts have various benefits in terms of safety and capacity issues that are worldwide recognized. Capacity analysis, which is very often key factor in the decision-making process between different types of intersection, can be performed with the empirical regression or gap-acceptance based models. The second model is more suitable for different locations because it depends only on two parameters: critical gap and follow-up headway. This paper presents practical determination of these two parameters on single and two-lane roundabouts in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Study like this was made for the first time in Bosnia and Herzegovina and have high importance for accurate capacity evaluation in local conditions.

Safe and efficient transport system are essential in the functioning of business and society at large. The consequence of extreme weather events due to climate change are usually interruption of road network and inaccessibility to urban and economic areas. In Bosnia and Herzegovina climate change manifested itself by gradual changes in climate parameters in the last ten years. So, changes go unnoticed but still have effect on durability and functioning of road infrastructure, like continuous temperature rise, changing of ground water levels, extreme rainfall events, higher maximum temperature and higher number of consecutive hot days, drought (consecutive dry days), extreme wind speed, foggy days, heavy rain for longer periods. As with many hazards, the best way to avoid damage caused by climate change are prevention and preparedness. This paper presents impacts of climate change on roads in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and measures for mitigation and adaptation of road network.

Although two-lane roundabouts theoretically exhibit excellent operating performance, in practice, safety problems arise because of inappropriate driving behavior. Turbo roundabouts, which are characterized by a much higher level of safety, are alternatives to classic two-lane roundabouts, but the capacity-related benefits derived from such roundabouts remain an open issue. Accordingly, this study uses an equilibrium traffic flow allocation approach to evaluate multi-lane roundabout capacity based on gap acceptance theory. Capacity levels are calculated and compared for different gap acceptance parameters, including local parameters, and different traffic flow scenarios. It is found that the capacity of minor approaches on turbo roundabouts is always higher than on two-lane roundabouts, but that the main approaches on two-lane roundabouts exhibit better performance in terms of fully equilibrium traffic allocation. This state, however, cannot be achieved for every demand scenario. The results depend strongly on traffic movements and gap acceptance parameters indicating the need for local calibration processes.

In the capacity analysis of roundabouts, correctly determining of the degree of saturation and control delay is of the highest importance, because these parameters are the main indicators of traffic flow quality. This paper briefly describes models of compute control delay on roundabouts that are currently most widely used in practice, such as: HCM, Akcelik, Brilon. In conclusion, will be recommended the guidelines for calibration process of these methods.

After completion of the first phase of the project of general overhaul main repair of the railway line from the state border (Capljina) to Bradina, in the Federation B&H, a general overhaul from Bradina to Sarajevo, in total length of 36 km, currently is in progress. Implementation of Phase II of this project will be completed general overhaul of whole so-called south line from Capljina to Sarajevo. General overhaul of railroad includes replacement of superstructure elements, while a just few works consider improving the substructure, structures (bridges, tunnels) and technical elements (radius of curves and etc.). This paper will give an overview of line condition before and after the general overhaul implemented, and effects of this way of implementation of the general overhaul in terms of increasing speed and traffic safety.

In this work we studied artifacts from 20 Early and Middle Neolithic sites in Serbia. Stone used as raw material for production of chipped tools are defined and we pointed to inadequate usage of certain terms. By using of the data from geologic literature and statistical analysis of representation of certain stone at distinct sites we present assumption about location of primary occurrence of so called "Balkan flint" and obsidian in the territory of Serbia.
