This paper deals with the Differential Evolution (DE) based method for identification of the heat equation parameters applied for the estimation of a bare overhead conductor`s temperature. The parameters are determined in the optimization process using a dynamic model of the conductor; the measured environmental temperature, solar radiation and wind velocity; the current and temperature measured on the tested overhead conductor; and the DE, which is applied as the optimization tool. The main task of the DE is to minimise the difference between the measured and model-calculated conductor temperatures. The conductor model is relevant and suitable for the prediction of the conductor temperature, as the agreement between measured and model-calculated conductor temperatures is exceptional, where the deviation between mean and maximum measured and model-calculated conductor temperatures is less than 0.03 °C.
The Tomašica grave-site near Prijedor in the north of Bosnia is reported to be the largest primary mass grave discovered thus far relating to the 1992-95 war. A total of 275 complete bodies and 125 body parts were exhumed from it in 2013. Post mortem examinations of the victims showed that nearly all had died from gunshot injuries but an additional striking feature was the degree of preservation of many of the bodies, even 21 years on, with skin, soft tissues and internal organs still present in abundance and gross structures clearly identifiable. Histology was performed on 68 samples of soft tissue from a total 13 bodies, on both skin and internal organs, and the degree of preservation was assessed in terms of the ability to recognize microscopic structure. Further comparison was made with samples taken a month or so later (56 tissue samples from 9 bodies, all but one different from the first group), after the bodies had been covered in salt as a means of general preservation. Generally, at a microscopic level, skin and subcutaneous tissues were better preserved than internal organs, while tissues sampled at the time of autopsy were better preserved than those sampled weeks later.
Objectives: The main goal was to analyze the specific causes of death in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina in the period from 2009 to 2013 based on death certificates. Materials and Methods : The data used came from the Demographic Statistics, Health and Statistical Yearbook and Population health and health care in the Federation. The research covered the period of 5 years, from 2009 to 2013 and totaled 102,036 deceased. Results: The leading cause of death in the Federation B&H in the period from 2009 to 2013 is a group Diseases of the circulatory system (I00-I99) with 53.2%. In the age group 75-79 is reported the highest number of deaths, 19.82% of the total sample. Male population deaths (50.97%) are more prevalent. Female population is more represented in the group Diseases of the circulatory system (I00-I99) with 53.06%.Group “Certain conditions originating in the perinatal period” (P00-P96) is with the highest number of deaths in the infant period (age group 0-1) with 59.77%.Accidents holds the largest share in the number of violent deaths 56,89%. The largest number of deaths was determined by the coroner MD, up to 76.59%. An increase in the number of unidentified causes of death is spotted, from, which is in direct correlation with the decrease in the number of autopsies. Conclusion: Causes of death established by coroner's inquest are relevant and reliable only if they are complemented by autopsy. The continued decline in autopsy performance, despite better training of professional staff and an advanced diagnostic procedure leads to an increased number of undetermined deaths.
This paper presents the inventory and brief analysis of 82 alien vascular plant taxa of the urban and suburban area of the city of Sarajevo. The checklist is based on field work that has been carried out from summer 2015 to autumn 2017. Each taxon is given with information concerning its life-form, time and mode of introduction, geographic origin and previously reported occurrence in the area. Most alien plants were the memebers of the Asteraceae (incl. Cichoriaceae), therophytes, neophytes, originating from the Americas and were introduced deliberately. The values of indicators of anthropogenic changes showed the considerable anthropogenic influence on the total flora.
Ptice su oduvijek privlacile covjekovu pažnju. Njihov pjev, raznolikost boja i građe tijela, kao i savrsenstvo leta predstavljali su inspiraciju brojnim naucnicima i umjetnicima.

This chapter deals with the influence of the electric field on a Medium Voltage Indoor Post Insulator (MVIPI) with standard and modified external shapes . The goal of this chapter is to show the electric field behavior of the MVIPI with different external shapes and to introduce a numerical model with a favorable distribution of the electric field that relieves the dielectric from stress. The chapter describes an MVIPI with nominal voltage 20 kV AC and shows an existing MVIPI, an MVIPI with a different number of ribs, and an MVIPI with exceptional external shape. The MVIPI’s new external shape does not have the typical shape of the ribs, but a new outline, using the Lagrange polynomial, that will acquire its optimal form through the optimization process. A Differential Evolution optimization algorithm is used for the optimal design of the insulator’s external shape. The value of the Electric Field Strength (EFS) will be mini - mized within the permissible bounds during the optimization process. The important parameters during the minimization of the objective function are the value of the EFS in the interior and exterior of the insulator. EFS values are shown for every MVIPI example and are compared with the existing MVIPI. The obtained results are analyzed and discussed.
There are various methods for the identification of duplicate records. Besides the importance of methods quality, the choice of similarity measures is very important for data comparison used in those methods. There are four kinds of similarity measures tested and analysed in this paper to identify duplicate records in relational databases. On the basis of the obtained results, the paper gives conclusions with recommendations for further research in this area.
This paper presents a thermal model to simulate a thermal behavior of transformers. Heat dissipated is always problem in transformers. Coupled physical and mathematical models would assist in the development of a system that was both accurate and simple. Material properties, the geometry, heat transfer coefficients for each surface are introduced as the input values. For the accurate results of the temperature distributions, the exact values of heat transfer coefficients are required. This paper deals with identification of thermal parameters for FEM-based transformer model. The identification technique is based on stochastic optimization algorithm called Differential evolution (DE). The goal of DE is to identify adequate thermal parameters, in order to achieve best possible agreement between measured and model-calculated values of temperature. The inclusion of identified thermal parameters into the model results in good model's accuracy.
This work covers most frequently used forensic odontology methods explained through case examples. These cases are presented to show to what extent the body undergoes changes, challenges forensic medicine and odontology are faced with and importance of teeth since they survive post mortem events. Conventional and novel methods of identification are presented following each case. In Bosnia and Herzegovina, there is a need to educate more forensic dentists and include them in mass grave exhumation teams and juidical system as well.
