This paper presents new records and noteworthy data on the following taxa in SE Europe and adjacent regions: the diatom alga Eunotia boreoalpina; the saprotrophic fungus Clitocybe truncicola; the liverwort Haplomitrium hookeri; the moss Leptodon smithii: the monocots Epipactis purpurata, Stipa tirsa, Typha laxmannii and T. shuttleworthii; and the dicots Krascheninnikovia ceratoides, Polygonum albanicum and Sorbus latifolia.

Mine pit lakes are a specific type of water accumulation, formed after exploitation process, by water filling the remaining crater or damming a watercourse with overburden material. Due to nature of their formation, these lakes may contain various heavy metals that might have an adverse effect on diversity of phytobenthos. The objective of this paper is the analysis of the phytobenthos assemblages in the mine pit lakes and assessment of the effects of certain heavy metals on diversity of this group of organisms. Special emphasis of this work is to determine the presence of tolerant species of algae on heavy metal pollution in mine pit lakes and their application in biomonitoring. The field research was performed during autumn season in 2014, at six mine pit lakes in the territory of B&H. The following heavy metals were analysed Al, Cr, Zn, Ni and Fe. The results were discussed in terms of confirmation or rejection of the hypothesis on the adverse effect of heavy metals on diversity of algae.

Kamberovic, J., Barudanovic, S., Masic, E., Dedic, A.: Marshland vegetation of the order Phragmitetalia on shores of mine pit lakes in north-eastern Bosnia and Herzegovina. Biologica Nyssana, 5 (1), Septemeber 2014: 1-10. Marshland vegetation of the order Phragmitetalia W. Koch 1926 on the four mine pit lakes in the wider area of Tuzla was investigated during 2008. In total, two plant communities were noted. On the lakes Suhodanj, Musicko and Sicki Brod association Typhetum latifoliae G. Lang 1973 were recorded, within which was noted 33 plant species. On the shores of lakes Ramicko and Sicki Brod the dominant association was Phragmitetum australis Schmale 1939, within which were determined 32 plant species. This paper analyzes the life forms and bioindicator values of plant species. The research results indicate a successful process of colonization by macrophyte species on absolutely degraded habitats such as mine pit lakes. Key words : bioindicators, biodiversity, colonization, mine pit lakes, vegetation, wetlands

The area of the canyon Ribnica is characterized by a specific topgraphic, edaphic, climatic and phytogeographical characteristics. Ecosystem diversity is manifest in the emerge of considerable number of different forest and meadow communities, communities in the crevices of rocks, screes and peat communities. In syntaxonomic view, we are identified communities that belong to the following classes: Querco – Fagetea Br-Bl. et Vlieg. 37,. Alnetea glutinosae Br-Bl. et Tx. 43., Oxycocco – Sphagnetea Br-Bl. et Tx. 43., Asplenietea rupestris (H. Meier) Br-Bl. 34., Thlaspietea rotundifoli Br-Bl. 47., Betulo – Adenostyletea Br-Bl. 48., Molinio – Juncetea Br-Bl. 47., Festuco – Brometea Br-Bl. et Tx 43. and culture of the coniferous fosrests. Based on the research conducted, we can made of the following conclusions: Identified ten types of habitats from Anex I of Habitat Directive. Five types of habitats have special status (*). Expressed antopogenetic pressures. The main pressures on this area are: the opening of quarries and deforestaton. Based on this research there is a necessary for establish own list of habitats for consrevation value ecosystems in local and global level. And on this way we are be able to protect habitats, which biodiversty is not recognized in Habitat Directive.
