Model of Evaluation and Assessment of Safety Parameters of Dangerous Places on Roads
The safety of road traffic is a scientific discipline that deals with studying the adverse effects of road traffic and the methods of their reduction. A dangerous place on the road can be defined as a place with high risk. Managing black spots (dangerous places) includes their definition and identification, analysis of traffic accidents and risk factors on black spots (dangerous places), proposing and implementing measures on specific black spots (dangerous places) and evaluation measures. This paper presents the issues, experiences and international practice of black spots management methodologies, and a special aspect of the applied methodologies and international experiences of implemented activities in Bosnia and Herzegovina. This paper also presents a framework model and methodology for managing dangerous places in Bosnia and Herzegovina, with a particular aspect of the basic safety parameters on dangerous locations, as well as evaluating the justification for applying adequate measures on dangerous places.
