DEFICIT / HYPERACTIVITY DISORDER AND COMORBID DISORDERS IN 6-12 YEAR OLD GIRLS AND BOYS
Attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) is one of the most common neuro-psychiatric disorders in childhood and adolescence. The Diagnostics and Statistical Handbook for Mental Disorders (DSM-V) defines three ADHD clinical phenotypes: attention difficulties, hyperactivity/impulsivity and the combined subtype (1). The frequency of ADHD at school age varies between 5% and 12% (2-7).
