Abstract—This paper describes the specific requirements inthe design of versatile wireless sensor networks (WSN) andhow MAC routing algorithms influence on their performance.Investigation of the impact of the MAC routing algorithms onthe battery consumption of the sensor nodes is based on theWSN simulation in OMNET++ framework.
