The task of forestry companies is to contribute, together with representatives of non-governmental organizations and experts from the academic community, to knowledge about how climate change in Bosnia and Herzegovina affects forestry as an industrial branch, but also biodiversity. Sustainable management of forest ecosystems is a priority for local communities, administrative units, and the overall state strategy of each country. In Bosnia and Herzegovina, according to the latest Large-Scale Forest Inventory (Lojo et al., 2008), natural forests occur on over 50 percent of the total territory of the country. The survival of forest tree species is closely linked to the survival of wild animal species. Each statistical contribution to the knowledge on individual species behavior in the conservation context is valuable and desirable. In terms of exploring the existence of drought-resistant individuals in our ecosystems, the study was aimed. In order to identify highly resistant species that may represent the backbone of wild species survival in the future, in the context of the negative consequences of climate change, evolvability and heritability tests are necessary within the framework of molecular research in Forest Genetics. In all sites of Bosnia and Herzegovina, there is a wealth of untapped genetic pool, based on which it is particularly important to pay attention to the game that inhabits hunting grounds in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Students applying for this research project are strongly encouraged to read the literature of these forestry experts. Research results will be used as a background for the creating model of efficient resistant species sampling in terms of exploring impact of climate change on spreading deadly diseases in wildlife populations that could be connected to mortality ratio increase in the future.
