Results from bryomycological field studies in the Mediterranean part of Bosnia and Herzegovina are reportedin the paper. Five bryophilous taxa of ascomycetes have been recorded on few locations aroundthe city of Neum and on the Klek peninsula. Three of them are new for the mycobiota of Bosnia andHerzegovina – Octospora gemmicola, Lamprospora miniata var. parvispora and Lamprospora miniatavar. ratisbonensis.Macromorphology and micro-characters with ecology, phenology and distribution patterns for eachspecies are presented and briefly discussed.
Two interesting and rarely occurring species of fungi from the order Pezizales found in Bosnia and Herzegovinaare presented here. Ecology, morphology, microscopic characters and conservation status of Pezizamontirivicola and Trichophaea flavobrunnea are briefly discussed in the paper. Notes on the similar speciesof operculate discomycetes are given.
To date, there are no published studies or official papers on mycobiota in coastal Bosnia and Herzegovina. In light of this fact, the author conducted a brief mycological study in the Mediterranean part of the country in February 2016. This paper offers a morphological description of the rare Mediterranean species Ciboria brunneorufa, an analysis of microscopic characters and a comparison with data of other authors. It also discusses the global distribution pattern and abundance of C. brunneorufa. An increased level of negative anthropogenic influence is expected on the Klek Peninsula in the future. In order to conserve this habitat unique in Bosnia and Herzegovina and to protect C. brunneorufa and other fungal species, it is necessary to make an environmental risk assessment and to carry out further systematic mycological field studies.
UDK: 582.282.16:712.2(1-751.2) (497.6 Sutjeska) In August 2014, a short mycological research was carried out in the Sutjeska National Park, Bosnia and Herzegovina, at several localities along the rivers Sutjeska and Hrčavka. The main objective of this research was to start documenting presence of fungal species in this area so that a provisional list of potentially rare and endangered species could be proposed in the future. Over 20 species, members of the phylum Ascomycota, were collected and examined (families Pyronemataceae, Pezizaceae, Ascobolaceae and Helotiaceae), some of which were recorded for the first time for Bosnia and Herzegovina. As a first step towards the aforementioned goal, three identified species - Peziza polarispinosa J. MORAVEC, Parascutellinia carneosanguinea (FUCKEL) T. SCHUMACH., Marcelleina brevicostatispora J. MORAVEC were selected to be presented in this paper.
