Basic principles of laparoscopic appendectomy.
INTRODUCTION Laparoscopic appendectomy is one of the simplest laparoscopic procedures, which is gradually becoming the method of choice in treatment of acute appendicitis due to its advantages over open appendectomy. In South-Eastern Europe the use of laparoscopic appendectomy is still very limited although it is a very simple procedure, suitable for training laparoscopic techniques.
