Kartografska dokumentacija Banjalike XVII vijeka kao osnova za izucavanje njezinog urbanog razvoja

The city of Banja Luka, Bosnia, Yugoslavia, was heavily damaged by war and earthquakes during the last three centuries. This article reports on the graphical reconstruction of its original urban layout and structure, on the identification of outstanding monuments and sites as well as their shape and condition, by means of literary and iconographic documents, especially city and fortification plans designed by Austrian military staff during the 18th-century Austrian-Turkish wars, today kept in the Vienna Kriegsarchiv. Data obtained forms the basis for future urban development and/or conservation planning.
